I hope someone can help me with this - I am a concerned mother trying to understand how something got on my computer. When I type the letter X into google search (to begin searching for Xerox), the google search engine offers 'suggestions' which begin with the letter X. The suggestions offered include a few X rated sites that begin with that letter. Let me clarify that these are not noted under 'history' which provides a seperate list of sites that I have been to, but 'suggestions' (there are letter combos or sites listed under both, beginning with whatever letters I type in).Can someone confirm whether these 'suggestions' mean that someone on my computer has been to those sites, or is it meerly an (inappropriate) help freature that goole provides based on some general site visiation statistics they have?Thank you so much for your assistance!DDJhi..if you are on the google homepage.. and you type x in the search bar..if words or phrases appear in that search bar.. then those are words that have been typed into that search bar on your computer.your internet browser (firefox or internet explorer for example)will automatically save all the things that have been searched for in the past on that computer.. this has nothing to do with google.. so if you type xand then below that you see several things beginning with x, such asxxx sites, or xray-pictures.. then this means those things have been searched for before, by someone using that computer.Thank you very much.so.. wot happened.. did someone get a telling off?
