hey everybody, i have been following this board for a year now figured i would register and participate some. here is what happened. I have a retail website and one of my pages was ranking top 5 in google search for that peticular keyword combination. i made the mistake before i knew anything of putting to many keywords in that page to try and increase my possision. well google saw it and nocked me clear down to nowhereland. i have since corrected the problem and 8 months later im still being penalized. is there anything i can do to get the ban lifted ? any suggestions? thanks.8 months ago .... hmmm florida update?acutally, yes it was the FL update. Yeah, that Florida update knocked about 1/2 my clients out, but they all came back within a few months to their orginal positioning. I was at a SEO conference in Chicago during that time and that's all they talked about. Can we take a look at your url.yes, the keyword was: red yeast ricewebsite url was http://vitanetonline.com/red-yeast-rice.cfmi know that keyword has a lot of competition but some of those top sites on googles search dont even have ranking.. which makes me wonder if they are penalizing me orsomething. dont know.Well, Google hasn't updated PageRank for a couple of months, so while the toolbar might not actually be displaying anything, internally through Google, they could be higher PR, or they may have a lot of keyword-loaded anchor text links pointing to them which can help them.did u even send an email to google about it, a few months ago?yes i sent an email 6 months ago and then another email a month ago and neither one received a reply from them, all i got was the automated reply you get when you first contact them. are they that busy?not That Busy..normally they will reply your email. not just auto responder.try sending another email again. address it to [email protected] luck.Once you get penalized by Google, it is *VERY*difficult to be removed from their blacklist.Check out their help pages, I recall seeing someinstructions on what to do if you're blacklisted.~Kif it is really banned by google, you can correct all your stuffs and website and send an email to [email protected]. reinclusion requestbtw, any website that shows banned sites? I think we determined the site hasn't been penalized but was just affected by the florida update months ago.Jess, I have read a lot about these Florida issues, but I don't know exactly what the problem was.Would you be so kind as to point me in the rightdirection?Thank you!http://www.searchengineguide.com/lloyd/ ... 5_bl1.htmlExplains it all.An issue unclear to me is whether someone can pay a major search engine (Google, for instance) to keep low the Pare Rank of a competitor website. This is the case of our website http://www.lasvegas2005.com, devoted to the Las Vegas Centennial (in 2005), and the domain name http://www.lasvegascentennial.com, that redirects to that website. As it is easy to understand, there is a big business related to this event. Well, if one searches for
