It stops after the first page! How can I allow google bots to index my forum? All help is appreciated.edit: Just in case you guys need to see the code or something... http://www.doink.biz/forum7 Years? The whois lookup showed that this domain was registered in 2005. Did they even have .biz domains back in 2000?Anyway, looks like Google is spidering your topics, not all of them, but GoogleBot is getting in:http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=n ... oink%2ebizI think U need make sitemap and make robot.txtvetofunk wrote:Well.... make a sitemap.php and link to all the categories of your forums in it with the proper Anchor texts!Take careManishSB wrote:You do have a point vetofunk. I never really gave my reply a great deal of thought, i don't belong in these forums No problem SB. Just create a sitemap for your forum and submit it to Google Webmaster Tools. I had an active forum for a long time, but for some reason it wasn't getting indexed even though I had a SEO mod installed on it, but submitting a sitemap to Webmaster Tools helped.7 years - google can index the domain if it's not registered yet Anyway, your urls are like this:http://doink.biz/forum/index.php?showtopic=1253take a look at ozzu.com urls - straight html and it's still a dinamic forum. The change can be done in 30 min with the right script .... when you'll have all the pages in the forum in straight html at at least on out side link that willpoint to your site (from a page that is indxed by google) - it will take under 60 days to have all the forum indexed.I had a forum with dynamic url and google was indexing only about 10 000 pages from a total of more then 200 000. Whne we've changed all pages to straight html - that took a day - the forum was idexed in less then 10 days - 95% of it ....Quote:Are there any javascript menu links or weird urls links on your forum?Sometimes spiders cannot follow these kind of links.Or perhaps you should try building more inbound links, especially to your internal pages.hey I must say this thread is quiet informative.... great going guys... keep rocking! Tom To maximize chances:Make a sitemapMake sure each thread in forum have a unique title / headersMake sure each thread gets keyword in its urlGet incoming links to your forumLink to new/hot threads from your frontpageMake sure your forum can be spidered (use tools to check this, e.g. sitemap generator or link checker)Thanks guys, I put up a sitemap with 4600 pages! With the site map generator was no trouble at all.
