My site was indexed by Google but the index is fluctuating daily. E.g: today, it's indexed 28.000, yesterday was 29.000, and the day before yesterday was 28.500.
Any one can tell what happens with my index.

I am using the add-on of firefox to see that index. The most surprise is sometime the index is go down dramatically. And if it goes down, whether it effects my visitors from search engine?

Thanks You can use tools for checking the number of indexed pages for your site but like other tools, most of them are never accurate but they give you a good idea on how your site is doing online.
Anyways, the best way for you to monitor your indexed pages with Google is by using Google Webmaster Tools. Submit an XML sitemap to the tool and it will show you how many pages you submitted and how many are indexed. Hi,
In Google Webmaster Tools, there are only 10,000 indexed. That equals the number of my articles. Then that's correct or not?

And then the index in any tool, even the site:domain.com in google is not correct. This is because Google's data is not very accurate. I have another question maybe concerning the index again. When I create a new article, google indexes it quite quickly. After 1 or 2 hours, if I paste the title of article in the google then the article in my site will be at top 1. But I just delete few words in the title then I cannot find it anywhere in the search result.
What happens and what I have to do for keeping my article in the top?
