Google first page

Some of my competitors on first page doesn't really have much backlinks and also theyre content is if not missing, is totally outdated. But still I didn't manage to get closer to them, even though I put in lots of content and started some link building.

My question is: Should I give it more time until my site becomes more established or I did smth wrong? Some times there are certain things which you can't see. Though Google's algorithm is pretty strict with these things, but you never know who is ruling the rankings with black hat.

Just peep into your competitor's strategy and see what they are doing. Well, I might have jumped to fast. I think I need the site to get some steady backlinks and age a little. Aging is must.. In my niche there are couple of old sites with absolutly trash content but they rank much higher than me... The only thing that can explain it is domain age Quote: Originally Posted by A.Gray My question is: Should I give it more time until my site becomes more established or I did smth wrong? Could be both. Just continue building quality backlinks for your site, in time you'll reap your just reward

when talking about backlink, quality is more important.
Do you check on your competitor onpage seo? maybe they are doing better on their onpage SEO? Just keep work on it and sure you can catch your competitor as you say their content is too old
