This is the company I work for.http://www.haysliplandscape.comThis page was designed by a webdesigner my company hired. He was confused as to why google had not DEEP crawled this site. Here is the SERPS http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl ... dscape.comI decided to take a look at the page and see why google might not be indexing other pages. The only thing I can figure out is that the pop up navigation is not something the googlebot crawlers find appealing. Am I Wrong? I have never opted to use these and am curious to how they effect the crawl. On a side note the old webdesigner sent google this email:Quote:About the popup navigation; i think that's ok because you have text links at the bottom as well which should be crawled. I have briefly looked at the code and it seems ok but i'm no expert with SEO. How long has the site been up?It has been up for two months.I wouldn't worry about the site code. It looks fine. The site however has NO links...not even one that any search engines know about. We know google crawls sites with higher PR more frequently and will be directed to your site more often if you have lots of links.I would also move the links from the front page to the links page....no sense in leaking PR that you don't have. You may want to redo the title as well it is very generic. How about a straight up html site map. Also beaware of the "sandbox" effect. It is causing delays in keyword ranking for new sites. I read somewhere that it takes 3 months. I have a site that's about two months old and it is suffering from this....although I have not had issues with getting crawled...google comes almost daily.....Is there a reason for not using the www. at the beginning of your url? Google will see http://www.domain.com and domain.com as seperate web sites....this will divide your PR between them. I'm going to link to you site so you can get crawled again soon. Which do you perfer www or no http://www...google obvoiusly has no preferance now but you should decide on one or the other before you start linking.Quote:Since you have no backlinks google does not have a way to get to your site...except for you submitting it via the google submit page....there is a theory that google perfers pages that it finds on it's own. This could be the reason. I find that yahoo get backlinks faster than google...and it picks up all links not just PR4 and above...they didn't have any links for youe site either.I can find two incoming links to that site.http://www.tccug.org/links.html Which has a PR3and one on a guestbook that has PR0Considering there are a lot of links on the PR3 page, the amount of PR it's passing on to your company's is pretty small.I believe Google will crawl the site eventually regardless, but you definitely need more backlinks to that site.
