does google show only the backlinks pages with a certain PR?that used to be the case (only showing PR4 and above) however Google now just shows a random sampling of the links to your site.I thought that they calculate the PR of your site based on the PR of your backlinks Google will show the Back links which more than 3 pr and the pr is calculated with your back link and link popularity. For every link you give you lose something and for every link you get you will gain something. It depends how you share. But be sure that you are not sharing with a spamming site (link farms). Get only relevant link, 10 quality links is far better than 1000 irrelevant link.SEO_Indian wrote:If not all people will do back link business!Quote:WiseSEO wrote:av1972 wrote:av1972 wrote:SEO_Indian wrote:beefcakejcc wrote:Also remember that links from within your own site are backlinks too andso are added into the calculation. This is why huge sites with sevral hundred thousand or even millions ofpages have such high PageRank.Quote:Sites don't have PageRank, pages do.When a webmaster says that a certain site has a PR5, what he/she really means is that site's homepage has the PR5.In my understanding of PR, every page is ranked based onit's individual place in the overall www linking structure. Thatrank has nothing to do with a page's domain name, but the fullURL path to the specific page. For example, my site's homepage could have a PR3 and *if*thousands of high PR pages link to one of my subpages, that subpage could have a higher PR than my homepage.I'm saying that each page has it's own merit independentof the domain to which it belongs and any URL to which it links should gain a vote.A vote is a vote.just my thoughts,Bompa
