I'm new to the concept of Google apps and trying to understand the works of the email obtion. So far I am stuck with in the area of change the MX records in your DNS settings
I have a couple of domains registered on godaddy. I've looked on my domain management page and see no option to edit MX or DNS setting. If I understand what godaddy page is telling me, I'd only have that option if I was using their default name server which I am not.
So I tried on my server management pages. I'm using WHM on some sites and DirectAdmin (reseller and user levels) on others. I can't find it there ether. Does this mean that I have to contact my hosting company and learn with them how to implement google apps on there sites?I assume your DNS is managed with your hosting company..In which case, yes, wherever the DNS is hosted for that domain you will need to update the MX records. This may well mean contacting your hosting company but you may have the option to do it yourself in cPanel or DirectAdmin. WHM should probably have DNS control for you.. if not contact your provider where that domain is hosted So I tried on my server management pages. I am not sure about cPanel, cause I don't use it in a long time, but for DA, you can enable DNS management for each domain you want, then follow the instruction on Google website. There is a link for DA control panel.I'm new to the concept of Google apps and trying to understand the works of the email obtion. So far I am stuck with in the area of

Is it godaddy's default? In that case, login to your godaddy control panel, and try to look for the link "Total Domain Control" or something. There you can edit the CNAME, MX, more or less everything re: your domain.Cheers! If you can login to WHM then go to "Edit a DNS Zone" on the lefthand side. If you don't have WHM access ask your host to do it for you.
