Just a quick question. Can XHTML do anything for or against me in terms of SERP?and what if any advantage is there for an XHTML site. Here's some info: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum21/5386.htmIn a word, yes. Striving for valid xHTML will only help you, because it won't confuse the search engines with pointless markup. The Web Sites that rely on table-based layouts force search engines to sift through more junk.I'm not sure if there are proven results comparing 'bad' HTML and good xHTML/CSS, but my advice would be - when in doubt, use valid code.http://validator.w3.org is a good place to start.."I'm not sure if there are proven results comparing 'bad' HTML and good xHTML/CSS"There is a recomended page size that google prefers (under 100K). Bad html can easily push a page above this limit.
