Hi guys. Ive recently created a new fitness website http://www.Fitness4Living.co.uk and was wondering if any of you had any tips on how I can improve the earnings I make from it?? Thanks 4 any help!!You need to rank well for top terms. It starts just like you would to get your site ranked well in all the top search engines. You need to write a lot of great content to which your adsense ads tie in. Write lots of great pages with relevant conent. It will take some time, but you can make a lot a day.The more traffic you get to your site, the more people will see the ads. Instead of trying to improve your clickthroughs, try to improve your website. The better it is, the more people will visit it. Through more visitors, you'll get more ad impresions, and more clickthroughs.FYI, many web businesses hire people to write massive number of quality pages. That's why if you look at their site info, you will see that they have literally thousands of quality pages. So, you might want to think about paying your little brother or best friends for quality articles. For example, come up with a full page article about the benefit of inclined dumbbell press.Come up with a full page article about inclined inclined dumbbell flies.Full page on declined xxxxFull page on flat chest, flat flies, flat barbell...Same thing goes with squats (toes pointing in, toes pointing out, hack squats. free weight squat, machine squat, standing up machine, lying down machine, free weight squat Vs. Machine squat....)You can come up with hundreds of quality pages. Then you can move on to nutrition:You can review every single vitamines in the world in detail. That can give you hundreds of quality pages. You can review every single food in the world in relation to fitnness.Just covering McDonald's alone would give you dozens of quality pages. To maximize your CTR, you might want to experiment with the formatting (size, background, etc) and placement of your ad.As many here have pointed out, content is also very important. While I don't think good content will necessarily improve your CTR -- many people will click on an ad just to get out of a site they find useless or boring -- it will retain more of your visitors, in the long run increasing your earnings.Good luck on your campaign! Are you trying to sell anything? By making sure that you have a content rich site people could spend quite some time there. The more time they spend the more ads they'll see and when they leave they'll more than likely click on one of the ads they glanced at while viewing your site. Make sure that the pages you create have different content so the ads are all different, providing a wide varity of ads instead of just many.Man ... There is too much adsense on your page. As i remember, only a max of 3 is allowed on one page.Get rid some of it Yeah your only supposed to be running google ads in 3 spots max. I went to the smoking page and you have the largest header ad in your right nav bar,, that doesnt look good! haha. I would really try to clean up the design because it seems like you have good content but the layout needs a lot of work.I'd try creating a 3 column layout for the main section and then have your regular header and footer. I noticed your page layout has a 100% bleed, maybe try switching to a layout thats maximized for 1024x768 which would make people focus on a smaller portion of the screen. Then run your google adds right below your header or right above the main text. Also try playing with the google ad color,, Ive found if your ads are the same color as your background with no border they blend in more which might lead to higher CTR.Theres also a new google ad style that looks like standard navigation links instead of ads. Try switching up the ad styles.Anyway, if that weren't enough work, you'll probably want to start exchanging links or buying some to boost your pagerank because I noticed you dont have any. Pagerank doesnt matter to yahoo or msn so maybe your fine,, but if you plan on being in google Id find someone to link to you with high pagerank.26globalAs I recall Google now allows you to have 5 different adds on each page.Hi Fitness4Living,Firstly I recommend getting rid of the grid background on your site so that you have a white background. Next get rid of the blue border on your Google ads by changing the border colour to white. Change the colour of the links in your Google ads to the colour of the main link colour throughout your site. That should pump up the clickthrough rate somewhat. The trick is to make the Ads look as little like Ads as possible. At the moment they scream 'ADS' which turns the user off clicking them. Making the above changes to blend them in more will not trick the user into thinking that they are internal links but it will lessen the 'ADS' effect.Have a look at 'www.gardenstew.com' to see how I achieved the above.Have fun with your extra Google cash!that gardenstew site does work pretty well, il try and blend in my ads as much as i can. Thnxalways remember that having a good rank in search engine alone doesnt mean you will get a good sales also. Good rank is used to get more visits directed to your site but it doesnt mean many of them will sign up to what ever site you have.Visitors need also to see what they realy upto to your site for you to make this visits a signups.Good Rank + Good Design + Nice Writeups = Good Sales.yeah, i think over summer i might do a complete redesign of the site, im definately improving the content and getting more of it and of course trying to get good rank. Thanks alphaSolutions wrote:well im cutting down on ads in my new site design so hopefully that will help
