I'm not really sure how much money I'm making on it. Had it for a few months now, my site doesn't get a lot of hits. Why does it say $238.45, but at the bottom right its "earnings" at $23.81?Picture:im a n00b to that)Thanks.Come on....no one knows? It is all explained on the AdSense page. That value is the eCPM (Effective CPM - Cost per 1000 impressions). It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of impressions in thousands.Basically it is the "earning rate" ... so if your site got the same proportionof clicks every day as on that day but was really reallly busy you would be getting thatamount for every 1000 ad views. But you will also notice the click through rate of 26% which you had onthat day is abnormally high... so that scenariowould never happen sadlySugarKane is right. It seems to be 'average CPM' column that shows how much you would earn per 1000 impressions (if you get the same CTR).BTW, don't you know that Google doesn't allow to disclose your adsense data ?Ahh I get it now. Thanks buds. Oh and what google don't know don't hurt them."What google doesn't know"...Ok, well, Google spiders this site... frequently. It hasn't cached this page, but no doubt it will shortly, and by then it's too late.Especially given the oddly high CTR on the days where you do actually get clicks, Google will notice Just curious, how would they trace that back to him? I didn't see anything in the image that would give away his account number.Given that they probably have the ability to search their own database, it wouldn't be hard for somebody at Google to query the database and ask "Hey, show me everybody that earned $0.52 on July 20th, and cross check it with everybody that earned $3.58 on August 8th"...You didn't think Google would put something like this in the TOS if they didn't have a way to enforce it did you? I'm sure they could do that but doing all of that manually would seemingly take forever, assuming that similar situtations happen thousands of times a day. It's not something I'm interested in testing I'm just curious.Yeah, but the point is, why risk it?They'll never catch me alive. That's the point.does google actually have that much spare time to find this guy?Well, I know of several people who have had their accounts terminated for making their complete earnings information public (as it's against their TOS), so yeah I'd say they have the time to find people. They have alot of time to make massive programs that have every inch of the earch covered at a very zoomable level.
