Hi All
I need some advice as I am having dificulty finding a good company who provide everthing I am after and are reliable!
What I want is a company to:
1. Register and host my domains
2. Provide smtp and pop accounts (So I can send and recieve email anywhere)
3. Provide web hosting!
4. mySQL DBs
5. ftp access (Not essential!)
I have been looking all over the web but there are so many and I don't want to go with a company who doesnt do what they say and are only around for 5 mins.
If any one knows any company who do this that would be great?

PhilFor number 1 [Register and host my domains], I suggest that you use a domain registrar. There are many to choose from, all have varying prices. I personally use Domainsite, where you can get a basic .com for $6.95 a year.Numbers 2-5 should all be provided by any modern hosting company. You need to realise that while companies that have been in business for a long time generally know what they are doing, there are some exceptions to the rules. I have had some horrible experiences with well-known hosts, and ones that have been in the business for a long time.Your best bet is to simply browse review sites such as <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webhostingstuff.com/">http://www.webhostingstuff.com/</a><!-- m -->. Don't just look at the front page - those links are more than likely affiliate links, and the #1 on that list ripped me off for over $800, but that is another story.Once you have found a host that you like, come here to WHT and enter their name in the forum search box [or post a topic asking for people's opinions]. If a lot of threads turn up mentioning people having bad experiences with them, then you might want to reconsider. But if you only find threads full of praise, then you've probably found the right host for you Hello Gopherman:A few quesitons:1) Do you have an existing Web site already built? 2) Are you looking at shared hosting or dedicated? 3) Do you need your site maintained or do you already have someone doing it?Regarding your item #2, I'd recommend you use your ISP's outgoing mail server whenever possible as they are usually more reliable in providing outgoing SMTP services than using your Web host. The reason is that one bad apple on a server can cause an entire server to be blacklisted, whereas, most ISP have strong policies in place to avoid this. Or if you are going dedicated, you'll have a better chance of not getting blacklisted.Thanks for your reply!

GophermanGopherman:It appears that you shouldn't have any trouble finding a shared hosting provider to fit your needs. Since it's not a business critical site, just choose a provider with a money back guarantee so you can test drive their services to find one that will provide good service at a good price. Based upon your requirements, you should be able to find what you need in a monthly price range of $5 to $10.Good luck!
