I have a really big problem. At first I thought that I was still in the sandbox, but it's taking too long to see my site on G. My obvious conclusion is that my site is banned. Right after launching it, I started submitting to free directories in order to get backlinks. Some of them required a link back, so I didn't give it much thought at the time. I later discovered that one of those, which sat right on my homepage, had PR 0 and was nowhere on G. The link was pointing to a banned site. I found out that my domain name was used before but it was just parked at godaddy so I don't see any reason for it to be banned before ( http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.lolhome.com ) MSN and Yahoo have both crawled and indexed it months ago and I have no problems with them. My stats say that GoogleBot is sniffing around almost daily. So the question would be what should I do to get unbanned? It's not just the absence in G that is bothering me; I can't get anyone to exchange links with (I have 0 PR). Would it be a good idea to send them an email? What are the chances of getting a reply? Hope I provided all the necessary information.I had a similar experience with a website that I owned for 3 years and then let go when my mom developed cancer. At the time I let the site go it was high in the search engines for the keywords "website promotion" "web design", etc.2-3 years later I again purchased the site and started over. I didn't realize that a spam company had grabbed the domain and kept it for a year. Needless to say, whatever I did I was going nowhere with Google. Finally, I simply sent them an email message explaining the problem and believe it or not within 5 days I was on page 1 of my chosen keywords. It's worth taking a chance and contacting them directly through this URL:http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.pyGood Luck! StaciBefore you submit a request (if you were banned)...make sure any thing black hat you may have been doing, you have stopped. If you haven't changed anything, I don't see why they would let you back in.Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it.I haven't used any black hat seo. The only reason I could find was that link, which was removed months ago.I received an automated reply after writing my problem at that link which asked me once again if I have read all the info on Goolge's help pages. Subsequently I replied to their automated response with the same message and hopefuly a real human will read it.Thanks again.alecs wrote:Quote:First I though delete revisit-after tag becuase your could be telling Google not to spider your site for 4 years. But sorry chap it looks bleeker than that.Your site is 100% banned (PR0, no back links or site). Get yourself a new URL and webspace as there is no way back from this.Johan007 wrote:No Bompa I dont agree and I am 99% sure I am right on this.1. New sites never have PR0 they just dont have any PR (not the same thing).2. 'Google reinclusion' only works for penilised sites and not banned sites.3. It is SE friendly. The site has 300 inbound and 145 pages on MSN so it can be spidered. Therefore the URL has been perminently banned on Google.... you cant come back from this.Bompa wrote:Quote:Johan, where are you getting your information? I've never heard anything about the PR stuff you are talking about...I would have assumed it went to zero. Also, where/how are you checking PR? If you ask me, banned means google won't list you at all...but google is listing his site...check it yourself...http://www.google.com/search?q=ylipsis.comIMO, your intro page ruins it for you. Google doesn't bother with keywords and other optimization-related meta data. Your intro page has no real text content, making google see it as unrelevant. To backup my above point, look at the following link:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... lipsis.comTruce wrote:Ah, sorry about that.
