ive just recently installed phbpp under this directory

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://members.lycos.co.uk/adilnaeem/phpbb/phpBB2/">http://members.lycos.co.uk/adilnaeem/phpbb/phpBB2/</a><!-- m -->

but i was wondering whether it was actually possible to get of the phpbb logo in the top right corner, or would that involve a certain price to pay?
westsideyou mean the top left? just replace the image. it's ok... only DO NOT remove the credit at the bottom!why is it such a big deal if i remove the details at the bottom, and since the image can be removed, can the addition of banners coded by html be inserted into the php file? - im a beginneryes, you can add banners, etc. BUT you cannot remove the stuff at the bottom, or you will be in violation of the Terms of Use. Removing that is technically illegal and phpBB could take action should they choose. It's left in to give them credit for their product.i can understand i can edit files under a database hosted by lycos, yet the file which i presume i must edit is the index.php. yet it doesnt allow me to edit the file?? so is there another php file which i need to edit which allows me to remove and ad images which will affect the whole site?, if so which one is it?
Thanx for the helpyou absolutely MUST leave in their measly little credit. people who don't give credit where credit is due, especially with regard to great FREE software, are wimps. and i know you're not one of those, right?

what you probably want to edit is the template files. i don't know which one, because different template files do different things, and produce content which appears in different places. experiment and use common sense.

also, for phpBB support, you should really be at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.phpbb.comnah">www.phpbb.comnah</a><!-- w --> nah i wasnt going to remove its credit,
just wondering what the consequences would be if it were,
all praise must be given to free software as you rightly say.Originally posted by westside

cheers
