Getting more users on my forum?

Hi,

I havn't got much users on my new forum because I opened it a few days ago.... only got about 11 users on it right now.

Can you guys give me tips how to get more users on my forum?

Buy or download SEO for your site, buying is about $100 IIRC Dl from here is free, don't get caught.

I'm already using SEO, and I did submit my website to Google.

But i'm still not getting any more users. Please help me!

you wont get members like 1,2,3. there are many forums on the net just advertise read e-books and let it work up.. to many people think that people will just join left, right and center

It took me more than a year to get to the point I'm at. heres some things to do

* If you have spare money, advertise on sites that offer it for a pittance like $5.
* Make sure you have a specific subject, tis really hard to get so many members just for a general use forum (even though that's what mine is).
*Add as many features to your forum as poss, you wanna keep em interested.
*Use trackbacks on other forums, get your name known, with a GOOD rep.
* If people know youm, they'll join you. get known!

Built a niche forum

eg...Not warez, gaming, webmaster, GFX and prabably more that I cant think of right now...as these are the most common forum subjests.

Install vBSEO

Advertise where you can but e careful if using a nulled copy vB as thats the easiest way of getting caught..and remember if you get big buy a legit licence!!

My forum atm is about gaming/MMORPG development etc and I do have a general discussions section.

to typical. poeple dont just register to talk about games.
need to think of something, something different that guests will go oh cool. register and do it.

Yeah, the best way I find is to host a clan forum, those gets off really fast if you're with an established clan.

The thing to remember is this:

A forum is a tool.
You use a forum to help with an event or a group. Not the other way around.

Well I have these sections made on my forum:

MMORPG Servers
Real World Discussions
Technology
Gaming/Consoles
Spam section
Graphics section

and a few more relevant to that.

And also, I've managed to get 16 users now.
