Hi guys:my web site http://www.sdro.com has been in the # 1 position for " San Diego restaurants" for 8 years now. As of 9 months ago a new web site took the position over. We are larger more external links and are older.I noticed there links when searched link:sandiegorestaurants.com are double from ours. We have since then added 55 domains with links to our page but google.com doesn't seem to pick them up can anyone help me with advice.Example link page: http://www.wine-steals.comBest Regardsyou simply need a larger link exchange,,,,,,,,,,,then you will go back to number oneIts not always your links and age doesn't matter. Also you fell to 3rd place. I looked at the two other websites and they have better content and use of keywords. Your website needs to change with the times. When was the last time you updated its look.I think you need to look after the keywords and unique and add some quality content and woek after the link building too needed for ranking.Look after that above things and wait for the results you want.Puneet MKeep building up links using the phrase San Diego restaurants in the text that links to your site, mention the phrase in your page title tag, description tag, keywords and in your content once or twice this is all you can do.If you check allinanchor: San Diego restaurantsallintitle: San Diego restaurantsallintext: San Diego restaurantsYou can see the no.1 site has probably been more proactive than you with a link campaign, you need to work on good quality backlinks.Age does matter imo and its what's stopped you slipping further away. Thanks for your opinion. On google site maps tools my indexed urls for google read 1958 indexed web pages back linking from my url http://www.sdro.com but when I search for the links via link:www.sdro.com I only get 158, yet all my sites are connected by text links to http://www.sdro.comWhat's wrong Help?thanksany advise.Try getting some more links to your site maybe that would help you.SPEEDYenjoy

Google is placing their domain above yours because it actually has all the keywords in it, wheras yours is an acronymn. Hence Google is giving higher relevence to the other site. In this case I don't believe it has anything at all to do with backlinks. And the fact that imo the site looks spammy with a huge amount of keyword stuffing.look for qualith rather then quantity-- the big boss google says so
