I have this other site - an artist's site. -3 pagestotally no words in the site except for the about page.other than pushing more words alt tags, are there any ways abt it?will it be ranked for the alt tags? lolI have sent it to dmoz too. I should add in some words in the site whihc I want it to rank for, right? ps. about page is just one big .jpg with words in it. - I didnt do it..Alt tags won't help much in google unless the images are linked to other pages or sites. You will have to focus on the anchor text of your incomming links to achive rankings.....it can be done. Aslo make sure you build good descriptive titles and meta tags. I have seen sites that use comment tags to inclued text in the html....this will work ok for engines other than google. They should come up with a <noflash> tag...just like the <noframes> tag.Can we take a look at the site?Or can you PM it?sure. have a look at it.http://www.bibiana-art.comdude. see the site. no words ! lol. is there any way to rank it ? using its current form.I am just curious abt this.client asked for this specific design (haha) shes such a humorous person. and having to do seo on it is just me being curious...Only thing I can think of is to make it into a frames site and use the no frames tag to get you text visible to the spiders....make the frames 0% and 100% so it looks to the browser like a single page....does anyone have any ethical issues with this?does this really work?Sure....but alot of people abuse it....I see framed sites that have way more content in the no frames tag then on the actual page.....I had another idea...you could create the same look the site has now by using <div>'s and layers...at least for the pages that are just a graphic....make the layer float and then you can position them over each other....you'll need to make the backgrounds transparent so they show through....the flash stuff is harder to recreate using just html. Here's a site that's stuffing all of thier content into one no frames tag "http://www.tellurideareahomes.com" view the source of the main framed page set. This is a bad use of the no frames tag since its's most likely using too much text and diluting the effectiveness of the keywords....I would use different frame sets and make each no frames section optimized for what the pages are about....include unique meta tags and titles.yes, I see the stuffings of words in that site.I will give it a try on no frames when I am bored.its good experimentfind any other way, post here.. I think the layers idea might be the most acceptable from an SEO ethics standpoint and from a design standpoint....PM me if you want some code using layers....so you can see how it works.thanks for the offer man.pm ya !all I have heard from SEO's is no frames...they are a hassle and don't rank well. Try the Layers first. At least there is no hassle from the SE's
