I just found this website.
Get Your Id.Name domain and email address, free for 90 days.
After that you will have pay (quarterly/Annual/10 years options available)
if you want to keep the name. Or it will just get deleted.

I went on to register my name kumar.anupam.name
and email kumarATanupam.name free for now.
If you do get your .name registered please come back to

"Open Social Graph" of people. Could be quite useful.
