Get this...!
I run a website for a band. For the past few weeks I've been emailing different bands about exchaning links. I guess I got about a 25% successful response rate. Now my website has about a good dozen inbound links pointing to it.
Now, I understand after Google released the Google Toolbar with the PageRank feature that it slightly messed up the whole system. So, Google invoked a delay where a website's pagerank wouldn't update overnight, but instead weeks. This was to deter people from just concentrating on PageRank and more on content.
However, checking out my pagerank here (http://www.pagerank.net/pagerank-checker/) still shows my pagerank as 2/10.
What gives???
How long does a website have to wait before it gets noticed by Google? Okay, I know it's not the end-all and be-all, but I want some indication of where my website stands.
Has anybody else had this problem???
Cheers
