I think the article is great, it tells the truth about how Search Engines consider backlinks VERY important. I'll make another thread where I give you an article that tells you ways to get backlinks. Nice sharing, thanks.
I think Google like blogs for its fresh contents but if they are really weighed heavier than others, it is really disputed.

No one that suggests "related" can even explain it.
Do the need to be quality? No!
No one suggesting "quality" links can explain quality.
But it sounds intelligent to say "get quality, related links", so they say it over and over.

Well, I do believe that getting 1 way backlinks is the most (and only) thing that makes your website rank high. These so-called "secrets" are some shady techniques that can really boost up your traffic for a while, but when done wrong, it could really hurt your rankings. That's why they always tell you to follow exactly what's in their (the sellers or so-called gurus) instructions, but they do know that you'll slip eventually so they'll just blame you for not following their instructions and you don't get your money back even if they have a huge sign at their website that says "Money back guaranteed if it doesn't work for you!"

Try submitting your site to link farms and watch it fall and get buried under your competitors, or worse, disappear in SERP because of your bad practice. I've gotten several of my sites onto the first page with 100% unrelated links.
