general question... homepage

well im thinking about adding my index of the forum into like

public_htm/forums

instead of being in the root directory, now if i do this... will it potentially full screw my theme and everything up, also will the BB be error'd hardcore?

just because i wanna ad a index page to be homepage and then link it the the forums page, but i cant do it unless VB isnt in the root

Why not change your forum index page from index.php to forum.php and then create your homepage as index.php?

You will have to login to your vBulletin Admin CP and go to vBulletin Options => Forums Home Page Options => Script Name for Forum Home Page. Change this setting to match what you just renamed your vBulletin index file to, like forum.php, (do NOT include the .php extension though as it is not necessary) and save your settings.
