Hi,
Like others here i am new to domains and buying and selling of. I am into gaming and was reading about a new release that is pc based and will be out later this year, it will be worldwide and unlike previous versions, this one will be web based. Over 10 million copies of the cd variety were sold.
I have purchased a domain name with a similar name that is much shorter than the original, very catchy and easy to remember and could be used as an unofficial site for forums/clans etc etc and i think would get lots of traffic. As i said it's is a very catchy name and very similar to the original games name.
I basically have 2 questions.
1. Now that i have this domain with no content on it, can i simply put on the front page "for sale" contact this email address?
2. Should i try and put it to auction or just leave it sit there? How do you get the word out about the site being for sale and ready to be developed?
If i had the time and know how i would create my own "unofficial site" for this game but i don't have either, but i know there are plenty of people out there who do have the time and the knowledge to do this. Having been into a few different games i know that when they break/have patches come out or i just want to find tips and tricks, i visit such sites, usually found via google.
Any ideas/comments are much appreciated.
