Gallery Backup Script

Greetings,

I'm playing around with the 'Gallery backup function' script, as stated here. http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=...dmin.backup.php

Attached is a screenshot of info it need's. Are these required 'binaries' (I believe thats the term) installed on TCH servers, and if so, what would they be? Or better yet, how can a person determine what the paths are, is there a script to run that will detect the paths?

Thanks for any ideas, Tom
All of those listed should be available. You need to change your zip path to /usr/bin/zip then try using FORCE.
I better get a reply here before people think I'm ignoring Dick. He and I went back and forth on a PM, for it involved a password.
Bottom line is, using the path that Dick spelled out for me, I did one time get the 'Zip' format backup to work, also at one time I did get the 'gzip' format to work.
It was just something to play with, to see the 'how and why it works'

Thanks Dick
No problem, I glad you got it to work.
I was in a bit of a hurry when I posted a bit ago, so here is the full story.
Dick pointed out to me in the PM to me this:

QUOTE

====================
Backup Method: tar/gzip

Files to backup: Data files only
zip path: /usr/bin/zip
tar path: /bin/tar
gzip path: /usr/bin/gzip
find path: /usr/bin/find
xargs path /usr/bin/xargs
====================

Using the tar path of /bin/tar does work everytime
Using the zip path of /usr/bin/zip was not working this morning for Dick or I, but now it is. Go figure

Well I consider this solved, and I doubt anyone has even used the backup feature in Gallery, the way it is buried to even find it lol.

~Tom
