While I know that Google's Algorithm is complex and secret, I was wondering if you could roughly estimate your future PR by looking at the "link appeal" of the links pointing towards your domain.I also know that Google sometimes does not include certain backlinks...But - can we roughly estimate our future PR by looking at "link appeal"?My new(ish) website is currently PR2. Over the past 2 weeks I have reciprocated many links (some from PR5 link pages.) After using the link appeal tool: http://www.webmaster-toolkit.com/link-appeal.shtml , I totaled the numbers and came up with 7886 arbitrary units. The logarithm of 7886 equates to 3.896Can I read into this...If you get:10,000 < x < 100,000could you assume to recieve a furtue PR of 5? (as log10,001 is greater than 4?)Maybe to be safe 20,000 < x < 100,000 ?Any thoughts...Look at this, it will explain you, but its a rough estimation.http://www.compar.com/infopool/articles ... ation.htmlIf you want to know more about the value of inbound and outbound links then look here http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page- ... ained.htmlI understand how logarithms work in context to the supposed algorithm, but what I wanted to know was; Can you assume your future PR purely from the points generated in the tool mentioned above, or are there other factors which causes the predicting of PR to be impossible?its a ll a guessing game unless you work at google
