Frames within frame linking

I have a frameset that has a left navagational frame ("l_nav"), and a main frame ("main"). Within this "main" frame i have a link that opens another page that has the same exact situation. Now i have the frame within a frame. Inside the "main" frame i now have a page called project.htm, that has the frames "p_navleft", and "p_main". i do this because i need the subnavagation. I am wondering, If i create a link in the "main" frame that opens the project page in the the "main" frame, is it possible to have the "p_main" open a specific page also. Can i send a variable thru the url, and have javascripts open to this page. If I have to be more specific or show the website i will but it isnt online yet so i cannot show it now.<!--content-->
