forum signature issues

I'm having issues with the use of the
tags in the signature area for registered users, ive looked over all the settings in the usergroups and they are the same as the moderator groups for the signature settings and also user profile settings and it only seems to display the link to the image rather than displaying the image in the sig area.

i have not yet added any custom bb codes so would i need to do this and add more bb codes or hav ei overlooked something?
 
Check in the Usergroup Manager (Signature Permissions section) and make sure that:
Allow BB Code, Allow Basic BB Code and Allow Image BB Code are ticked to YES.
