Forum Installation Help

Hey guys

I am installing a forum on a hosting that has a file size limit of 500KB, i uploaded all the files except 3 XML files

install/vbulletin-style.xml
install/vbulletin-language.xml
install/vbulletin-adminhelp.xml

those range in size between 800KB - 1.4MB and the hosting company isnt being very friendly

so i was thinking maybe i should let the installer read those 3 files from another forum i have, i edited the install/install.php to read from www.domain.com/forum/install/vbulletin-style.xml but it still would tell me that it doesnt exist in the install directory on my current server

i know there must be other edits to do in some other files but i am not very good with reading PHP to find out where

can I get help please? and this is VERY urgent i really need this done in the next few days

and no i cant change the hosting... Please reply
 
I would switch host as that is bull shit they should not limit you on that. let me ask this did they give you a ftp account and if so is that also limited to 500kb if so then definitly change host.
 
yeah they gave me an ftp account and its limited, i tried PHP scripts even tried some hacking scripts and none worked.... i agree it is bullshit but i cant really change it coz thats the best free host i found so far, and the site owner whom i am working for dont wanna pay so.....
 
^ good suggestion except idk how to extract on server....
i think ill look for another free server as filez said coz my account is suspended due to overtraffic

idk how this happened i checked the log and said "412MB Local"

the shoutbox maybe ?
