form button not displaying correctly

I am using the default round buttons. Everything runs smoothly in safari, firefox, etc. But the mac version of IE leaves white blank squares in the background of the button instead of being transparent. Is this a common issue?An example of the code you're using would be very helpful in solving the problem...
