Fluid to fix?

I read in theme releases, people keep giving "fluid" and "Fixed" demo. But theres only 1 theme attached which is fixed. How could i make it full screened a.k.a fluid?

i use 3.8.3 , is there a general way to make fluid skin fixed? or it depends on the skin?
