Hey guys,
Okay so I got this layout (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://209.34.25.17/Jona/">http://209.34.25.17/Jona/</a><!-- m -->), and it works great in Mozilla (not sure how it works on other resolutions, I'm just starting one step at a time), but it breaks in IE. The only reason, I think, that it breaks in IE is because IE doesn't have the super-strict mode like Mozilla does. In Mozilla, the "BODY" of the document is only where there is content, the rest is styled with the HTML CSS property. In IE, the "BODY" of the document is the same as the "HTML" of the document... How would I fix this? I tried putting a second DIV inside of the #content DIV to act as a replacement for the BODY tag, but it didn't work in either browser then...
Thanks. Can't you use html>body to send CSS values to good browsers and IE won't see it? Can you take advantage of that somehow?Yes I can, but if you look at it now, it still looks like some pretty bad crap. I'd like it to look good in both browsers; I just want code that works for IE. If I can get it to work for IE, I can find a way to make it work for both, or just use PHP to send different code to the browser altogether. I'm not looking for hacks, but rather for code that IE will understand...It now works (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://209.34.25.17/Jona/">http://209.34.25.17/Jona/</a><!-- m -->) in Mozilla and Internet Explorer. Well, almost... Internet Explorer puts a vertical space on the bottom-left hand side on my Windows machine, does anyone know how to fix that? Also, I'm told that in Netscape on a Macintosh computer, the text exceeds the borders... Can anyone who uses a Macintosh computer provide support in this area? I would be very grateful!
Thanks,I fixed the problem concerning Internet Exploiter; it now works in both browsers on Windows. What does it look like on a Macintosh box? ...Anyone? It looks fine in SafariOriginally posted by RefreshF5
