I have a website developed in flash. I am facing a challenge to optimize it.
Please help me with your suggestions and ideas. If your site is done with flash than you should concentrate on offpage optimization, because it will be very hard for google to crawl your flash site Quote: Originally Posted by AJKpeter If your site is done with flash than you should concentrate on offpage optimization, because it will be very hard for google to crawl your flash site Dear but i have read it somewhere that google or other search engines now can index the content of the flash file. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...-indexing.html check this link Unfortunately I can't help you with optimizing the flash part of your site, but does your site ONLY consist of flash? I doubt you can't do anything with H1, title, meta description etc. tags. And a bit of text content here and there could be integrated as well I believe? Apart from that AJKpeter was right in suggesting to focus more on the off-page optimization part (which should be done in every case, regardless of flash or not). Yes, these two feed information to other search engines and directories, but what about those who are not in partnership with or are fed by these search indexes?
This news only tackles one of the problems of using Flash?in a website. There are still the issues of the download speed, usability and accessibility of Flash?that need to be addressed when you hire a designer who wants to build your website using Flash? A qualified designer can tackle all of these issues, but, will your return on investment justify the expense of hiring such a designer? Search Engine Friendly Flash @HTMLBasicTutor Thanks for the link
But the question is that did we can do something else for flash website other than the strategies we follow for simple text website optimization. it can be done.contact some wedevelopment company. Quote: Originally Posted by umi.gold @HTMLBasicTutor Thanks for the link

that way you catch all the disabled users, both physically and technically (without flash, javascript, slow connections etc) who will currently never see your site either.

If all of your content and menus are in Flash, search engines may have a harder time following the links. If you feel strongly about using Flash, just make an HTML version of the page available as well.
The search engine bots will thank you. Your users will thank you. Feel
