First intro post! and some newbie questions

Hey everyone, I realized I haven't really introduced myself yet so I figured I'd do one of these in light of Hoxxy's new announcement about banning a noob for post counts.

Do you gain access to some special "high post count only" thread?
Why do people want high post counts? I mean other than the obvious wanting to seem reputable to people in the paid hosting threads, but besides that is there any other objectives I might not be aware about?

Also I wanted to say, THANKS VBTEAM!! you guys are awesome! I <3 u
 
Hi nteam and welcome to vBTEAM,

to answer your question reputation is a big thing when it comes to forums (welll vBTEAM anyway), I suppose members are simply wanting to get noticed by staff hoping they will get promoted to a higher rank elite or contributers thus allowing them to have access to the some private forums that have some one off mods and designs not available in the public forums forums.
