Basically I would like to have a search functionality, a way in which you can search, display and filter through the XML data that I have - firstly is this possible to be able to use XML data as almost a database, in which it can return results based on your filters?\[code\] <KISCOURSEID>007F</KISCOURSEID> <KISTYPE>3</KISTYPE> <CRSEURL>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?NWC4GN</CRSEURL> <CRSEURLW>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?L8YGUR</CRSEURLW> <SUPPORTURL>http://www.aber.ac.uk/en/undergrad/finance/</SUPPORTURL> <SUPPORTURLW>http://www.aber.ac.uk/cy/undergrad/finance/</SUPPORTURLW> <EMPLOYURL>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?JDTLYW</EMPLOYURL> <EMPLOYURLW>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?33QHUR</EMPLOYURLW> <LTURL>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?Z6E36S</LTURL> <LTURLW>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?R4EAQD</LTURLW> <ASSURL>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?LEBR3L</ASSURL> <ASSURLW>http://www.aber.ac.uk/courses/?RT9BZ3</ASSURLW> <KISKEY>0</KISKEY> <FEETBC>0</FEETBC> <WELSH>9</WELSH> <MODE>1</MODE> <LEVEL>3</LEVEL> <SBJ>07</SBJ> <AVGWRITTEN>42</AVGWRITTEN> <AVGCOURSEWORK>51</AVGCOURSEWORK> <AVGSCHEDULED>11</AVGSCHEDULED> <COMMON> <POP>80</POP> <AGG>11</AGG> <SBJ>3</SBJ> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Sales assistants and retail cashiers</JOB> <PERC>18</PERC> <ORDER>1</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Elementary occupations</JOB> <PERC>18</PERC> <ORDER>2</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Caring personal service occupations</JOB> <PERC>15</PERC> <ORDER>3</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Customer service occupations</JOB> <PERC>7</PERC> <ORDER>4</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Sports and fitness occupations</JOB> <PERC>5</PERC> <ORDER>5</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Administrative occupations: General</JOB> <PERC>5</PERC> <ORDER>6</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Business and finance associate professionals</JOB> <PERC>4</PERC> <ORDER>7</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Science and engineering technicians</JOB> <PERC>4</PERC> <ORDER>8</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Administrative occupations: Records</JOB> <PERC>4</PERC> <ORDER>9</ORDER> </JOBLIST> <JOBLIST> <JOB>Leisure and other personal service occupations</JOB> <PERC>4</PERC> <ORDER>10</ORDER> </JOBLIST> </COMMON> <CONTINUATION> <POP>55</POP> <AGG>12</AGG> <SBJ>07</SBJ> <UCONT>83</UCONT> <UDORMANT>4</UDORMANT> <UGAINED>0</UGAINED> <ULEFT>12</ULEFT> <ULOWER>0</ULOWER> </CONTINUATION> <COURSESTAGE> <STAGE>3</STAGE> <ASSACT>A</ASSACT> <COURSEWORK>50</COURSEWORK> <WRITTEN>33</WRITTEN> <PRACTICAL>17</PRACTICAL> <LTACT>A</LTACT> <INDEPENDENT>91</INDEPENDENT> <PLACEMENT>0</PLACEMENT> <SCHEDULED>9</SCHEDULED> </COURSESTAGE> <COURSESTAGE> <STAGE>2</STAGE> <ASSACT>A</ASSACT> <COURSEWORK>52</COURSEWORK> <WRITTEN>43</WRITTEN> <PRACTICAL>5</PRACTICAL> <LTACT>A</LTACT> <INDEPENDENT>87</INDEPENDENT> <PLACEMENT>0</PLACEMENT> <SCHEDULED>13</SCHEDULED> </COURSESTAGE> <COURSESTAGE> <STAGE>1</STAGE> <ASSACT>A</ASSACT> <COURSEWORK>50</COURSEWORK> <WRITTEN>50</WRITTEN> <PRACTICAL>0</PRACTICAL> <LTACT>A</LTACT> <INDEPENDENT>89</INDEPENDENT> <PLACEMENT>0</PLACEMENT> <SCHEDULED>11</SCHEDULED> </COURSESTAGE> <DEGREECLASS> <POP>215</POP> <AGG>11</AGG> <SBJ>3</SBJ> <UFIRST>15</UFIRST> <UUPPER>40</UUPPER> <ULOWER>35</ULOWER> <UOTHER>10</UOTHER> <UORDINARY>0</UORDINARY> <UNA>0</UNA> </DEGREECLASS> <EMPLOYMENT> <POP>160</POP> <AGG>11</AGG> <SBJ>3</SBJ> <WORKSTUDY>85</WORKSTUDY> <ASSUNEMP>9</ASSUNEMP> <BOTH>6</BOTH> <NOAVAIL>6</NOAVAIL> <STUDY>32</STUDY> <WORK>47</WORK> </EMPLOYMENT> <ENTRY> <POP>80</POP> <AGG>12</AGG> <SBJ>07</SBJ> <ACCESS>3</ACCESS> <ALEVEL>88</ALEVEL> <BACC>3</BACC> <DEGREE>0</DEGREE> <DIPLOMA>0</DIPLOMA> <FOUNDATION>0</FOUNDATION> <NOQUALS>4</NOQUALS> <OTHER>0</OTHER> <OTHERHE>3</OTHERHE> </ENTRY> <JOBTYPE> <POP>80</POP> <AGG>11</AGG> <SBJ>3</SBJ> <PROFMAN>25</PROFMAN> <OTHERJOB>75</OTHERJOB> <UNKWN>0</UNKWN> </JOBTYPE> <NSS> <POP>45</POP> <AGG>12</AGG> <SBJ>07</SBJ> <Q1>96</Q1> <Q2>96</Q2> <Q3>93</Q3> <Q4>91</Q4> <Q5>84</Q5> <Q6>85</Q6> <Q7>84</Q7> <Q8>90</Q8> <Q9>75</Q9> <Q10>93</Q10> <Q11>97</Q11> <Q12>85</Q12> <Q13>87</Q13> <Q14>88</Q14> <Q15>81</Q15> <Q16>72</Q16> <Q17>73</Q17> <Q18>82</Q18> <Q19>94</Q19> <Q20>93</Q20> <Q21>91</Q21> <Q22>100</Q22> </NSS> <TARIFF> <POP>120</POP> <AGG>12</AGG> <SBJ>07</SBJ> <T1>2</T1> <T120>3</T120> <T160>2</T160> <T200>9</T200> <T240>23</T240> <T280>18</T280> <T320>15</T320> <T360>13</T360> <T400>8</T400> <T440>6</T440> <T480>0</T480> <T520>2</T520> <T560>0</T560> <T600>0</T600> </TARIFF></KISCOURSE>\[/code\]The data above is just one of around 5,000 that I have, so transferring that to SQL could be very long. And what I would like to do is to just use the XML's. andd being able to filter the results based on sliders from a form, if it happened with ajax, and live that would be great!But basically links or being pushed into the correct direction would be great as I am kinda at a standstill with this one now!
