Couldn't believe this hasn't been posted here. I had to blog about this cause this really is a HUGE deal to people in the domaining business. I'm not sure a lot of people on this forum know Sedo.com, but there was a pretty big mTLD (.mobi) auction recently and someone bid $66K for Music.mobi and supposedly won it. Sedo then decided to extend the auction even after the FIRST winner already received an e-mail stating he won it + received an invoice... he bid all the way up to $611,000 since the auction was extended (auction #2) supposedly for some downtime...and then other bidders took it up all the way up to 616,000$. HUGE difference 66k vs 616k. Maybe they weren't satisfied with the "official" win of 66K? who knows, but something shady is going on for sure.READ ABOUT IT HERE:Sedo Lawsuit?
