Hi all,
For the last couple of days I've been using the proof of concept version of my tentative new product seoWeaver to optimize my DeepTrawl.com site for a few new keywords. It doesn't seem to have fallen over or given spurious results so I think it's time to get some early feedback.
THE CONCEPT
It allows you to enter a list of keywords / keyphrases and the url of your site. When you hit start it spiders the site and checks if there's a page optimized for each keyword. It checks optimization factors like keyword in title & h1, a very loose density check, checks there are x internal incoming links with the keyword in the anchor text etc. etc.
If there are pages which are a close match, e.g. Ones you've already started optimizing it will show them in a list when the keyword is clicked. When the page itself is clicked a list of optimization instructions is shown.
I see people using it mostly for medium / long tail keywords where on site seo is much more important (it may help with your top 5 phrases but in a competitive market it's likely you'll need external link juice on your side too).
WHERE I'M UP TO
The proof of concept is live. It's lacking polish, isn't too scalable yet etc. etc. but should be enough for people to give feedback. I'm trying to establish if this is something people really want / need / would pay for before I put in the extra mile to commercialize it. So any feedback you can give would be greatly appreciated!
