Faking an image colour via webkit mask

http://cssdesk.com/m8kdMI created a little 'post-it note' here, done purely in CSS using two image files. What I'm wondering is:[*]Can I make it better?[*]How compatible is it with other browsers? (I only have Chrome.)The reason I've done it this way is that I'm designing a custom theme for Tumblr, and most theme users only know how to change things using Tumblr's customise interface, which allows selecting colours with a colour dropper. The post-it background and push pin backgrounds will be set to these variables that tumblr uses, so I needed a way to change the post-it and pushpin colours using hex colours and nothing else.
