I had a client server whose hard disks are failing. Steve gave a quote and started the migration processes. There are quite a lot of issues that are unexpected as it seemed the data transfer isn't there seemed an I/O problem. All in all it took 2 days instead of a few hours. No complaints or extra charges from Steve, in fact he went through all the sites and corrected some mistakes made by the client, even helping them with their MySQL database which was configured by them wrongly in the first place.
I feel he is really dedicated in the jobs he do and strive for perfection, although I told him he can conveniently ignore the errors made by the clients themselves. Great Work!Glad you're still enjoying Steven's service too boon! I know I had a couple of issues lately that Steve has been very prompt at dealing with, couldn't ask for more for the price!Nice to see another positive review on Rack911. I've used Steven's services twice now (once for a security audit and once for a persistant PHP problem) and both times he's gone above and beyond - 100% happy both times. One of my aims when I joined this forum was to look for a linux guy to outsource some of our work to. For us, we are very phobic about losing control. I think it took me a long time observing Steven, read his posts back in the past history, also the good and bad comments about him before I decided. Initially it was for some simple jobs and finally graduated to the most complicated jobs. I can't really calculate the number of times we had our servers done by him but it was for at least a few years and whenever he is doing my servers, even when it is kernel patching etc, I can safely say I can sleep in peace. Even though he is from USA doing kernel compiling for my servers in Singapore. This Trust was built up over the many years and boy am I glad that he is here.Steven / rack911.com are top notch. I've personally recommended his services to a few clients that needed a task completed that was outside of the scope of a particular service we provide, and will continue to recommend his services with confidence and without hesitation. He's highly fluent in both cPanel and DirectAdmin, as well as very knowledgeable with Linux and with server security.

This is far from an advertisement. You can ask many of my clients, I often discourage them from posting reviews as I try to stray from the WHT market.

You are not allowed to stray For me it is quite a long list
1. Solving a rooted server issue where others was saying it is a gone case, he managed to clean the server monitored it closely and cleared it of all the trojans and back doors.
2. Upgrading kernels remotely for hardware raid servers whose hardware raid drivers are incompatible with the new kernel.
3. Solving the initial release of Centos 4 problems where there are issues with the vanilla Apache programs.
4. Solving my centralized email server latency and incompatibility issues, that alone stored 60 000 email accounts, without any downtime at all.
The list goes on and on and on....BTW this is the main forum and no one is allowed to advertised here.
Can you provide some examples of how he's solved problems and provided top notch service or is this an advertisement? That's awesome! I am definitely going to contact him. I need some work done. Is he good about explaining the things he did and why he did them?
