Enter action same as onClick ?

I have a FORM input field with an associated button, which will trigger a function in the header. I would like to trigger the same function if the user press ENTER after filling out the field, how do I do that ? Can't find any onEnter or similar event for te inputfield. Tried a SUBMIT field, but can't get the function trieggered by that.
