I have a really long .txt document and I want to add one link inside of it. If I convert the doc to html I lose all formatting and I don't want to have to go reformat everything into html. I tried adding
<a href=http://www.htmlforums.com/archive/index.php/"link">My link
but that didn't work. Is there any hope of achieving this?you cant put anything besides plain text in a .txt file, sorryyou can put anything in a text file, it it just gets read as text, nothing more.I was afraid of that, but I still hoped there was a way. Thanks.Hmm, you can add the standard HTML tags to the document, make it into an HTML document, but enclose all of the text of the existing document inside
...
tags, for preformatted text. Is
useful too?
