Duplicate Product Content in two Websites?

Hi,

Last few days i searched Google found one website. Its commercial software site, can't link in website ie) example.com. The same company extended partner in Australia, they copied same product content and created another website example.com.au around 800 pages.

In those two websites same owner, but same content showing two URLs .com & .au...

My question is those websites affect by panda2.2 algorithm. Duplication arising problem or not....

Thanks for advance.. Your question is not clear to me so I'll try to answer what I think you are asking.

1. It's not illegal to copy content if you have permission.

2. Search engine duplicate content penalty is, at least in part, a myth. Panda attempts to lower the amount of duplicate content which appears in the search results, but it was more targeted at junk content than real content. I can verify from plenty of auto-blogs that if they are done well and targeted and properly optimized and give value you will still get google searches. Yes, It can create a problem for the site which was cached later. Google will consider the site which was cached earlier the original copy and the site which was indexed later the duplicate copy. It will certainly get in trouble. I have seen few similar cases recently in which site with duplicate content was penalized. vishal you are right. google is getting strict on duplicate content day by day Quote: Originally Posted by JakeMoore Your question is not clear to me so I'll try to answer what I think you are asking.

My question, One owner have two websites in .com and .au But the product content and image everything same in those two sites......

If searching company name showing both sites in Google search... title only different but other details are same....

Hope clear... i'm guessing that this was an attempt to get both regular Google and Google's Australia rankings. to my understanding yes, dupe content is bad. but i assume that .au domains are better ranked for Australia's geography.

i hope that made sense. :s it's early here. Quote: Originally Posted by ponmayil Jake, Thanks for reply...

Hope clear... If both sites are showing in google what is the question? Are you wanting to know if they will stay there or if this is normal? Still not quite sure what your question is. A lot of people saying that duplicated content is a myth. I would say duplicated content of low quality is the real danger.
Useful duplicated content is fine. Think of news, which is copied around the world and none of the sites, which do this are banned.
