Hi there,

I need some help with a common design element. In a nav bar, I have hidden submenus, which drop down (become visible) on mouseover on the main links (say on mouseover About Us, the submenu with Company, Staff, etc. "drops down") I am able to do it using layer behaviours and images. But this makes the page heavy. If I use plain text in the submenu and link them, then while over the space between two links, the action becomes "mouseout" and the layer disappears(as it is supposed to do on mouseout).

I see a lot of sites who use plain text and background, and even when the mouse is not on the text links, the menus remain visible, such as http://www.transamerica.com/

In the case of the following link,
http://www.corbis.com/professional/
Under the first link, PROFESSIONAL, the dropdown menu has the backgrounds changing colour even they are not "links".

Could you please let me know how this is being done? I'd really appreciate it and would REALLY help make my sites lighter without losing appearance value.

Thanks so much!look here for the scripts:

www.dhtmlcentral.comGood linkThanks, Dr. Web. This is really a neat link, exactly what I wanted.
As for PooPoo, can I assume I got a "partner" now?

Cheers!
