Does anyone know if it is possible to have a drop down box that is set to a specific width even if the text in the options is longer than the width you wanna set i.e.<br />

i have the drop down box set to show 20 characters when an option is selected but when you are selecting the option the bit that drops down is 30 characters wide<br />
