HI!
Are there any dreamweaver users here? Since I usually don't use WYSIWYG editors for site development, I was wondering how well dreamweaver can handle pages with CSS layouts? Divs as opposed to tables.
I'm going to be developing a web site and the client will be using dreamweaver to update and maintain the site.
Any input's appreciated. THANKS!I am using Dreamweaver 2004 MX and it works very well. As many css editors dreamweaver also has the attributes to show up when you type in a few letters, and it can discover errors as if it was an ordinary html source. It also can detect if it is not compatible with some older browsers..
When editing the page you can see the layout without the need of saving and then preview. But it works sometimes for me and not always show correctly in the design layout as it does when previewing it in your browser. I纾沞 noticed when the source is 100% accurate then the design layout will also show 100% correct.
As an old user of dreamweaver I really like the preview modes aswell as the uploading files and even handling other Sites
puh,, sounds like advertising.. hahaWell thanks, Siddan. This is the type of feedback I was looking for
I'm assuming then that it's pretty much the same as macromedia contribute. I noticed that in edit mode, any list items that are made to be displayed inline are actually displayed as if they're are block, as if its their default. But once the page is published, the list items revert back to inline like they're supposed to.I use Dreamweaver MX 2004 for most of my work. I like the code features like how it will guess what you're trying to write after you type a few letters, and it highlights invalid code.
I do not, however, use the design/preview mode at all. Most of the time it will display it correctly, but it does not match any browsers out there, so it seems kind of pointless to me. I just save and view in Firefox and IE 6.
