i ve just discovered dreamweavrer layers and all looks great BUT ilook through the source code of the best sites and they dont use them ...makes me suspicious! WHY?<br />

Maybe ill just keep using tables.<!--content-->Jon, I don't know about the others, but I don't use layers unless forced to because they don't always look the same on different browser/platform/resolutions. It's really tricky to get the to stay put, I've found. <br />

Now, it's been a while since I've put layers on any of my pages, but it seems to me that IE and Netscape look at layers slightly different. What looks good in IE looks like... Phhtttt ... in Netscape, and vice versa.<br />
