Dreamweaver 4 question...

Hi...I'm using D4 to layout my page. I like to know is there something I should be doing with my cell dimensions because when I design it on a 800 x 600 it looks fine. But when I see it on a higher resolution, it's all wacko.
I have to nudge everything to the way it was when I it was designed in 800 x 600. Thanks. In the table properties panel make sure that you use percentage (%) instead of pixels for width and height. That should help.hi...is that where I go to 'modify', 'table' and then 'convert widths to percent'? How about the height???
Do I have to convert the cells also or that should do the trick. Thanks.Originally posted by LuNaTiK
Yeh you can do that by using convert to percent or you can change it in the table properties panel which is shown in the above image. If you want the height of the table to increase when someone views your site in a higher resolution then change the height to %.You have to convert the cells too.hi...I used the layout view to align my table...could I convert it from there or do I have to go back to standard view??? How do I convert the cells...I don't see anywhere that I could do it??? And if so, do I only convert cells with content in it or I have to convert every single cell in the table??? I hope I'm clear on this...sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help. Damn...should have asked before I started my page.http://www.trainingtools.com/online/dreamweaver4/ch09/image053.gif
In the above image you see how the cells are selected. To select cells go to standard view and click on the border of the cell to select it,then change it into % in the properties panel.
First try converting all the cells and see how it looks at higher resolution. If its not ok then try chagin only the cells with content. You experiment with it.hi...
ok I will try that today. Thanks again.ok...i'd tried your way but I don't get no properties where I can convert the cell??? I went to layout view first and selected the cell I want to convert...and went back to the standard view. I only get that convertion property for my tables...but not individual cells.all right...I'd converted all my tables including nested tables to %. So this screws up my layout because all my cells are streched out now. So I resize them again...but this converts my tables back to pixels??? Confused??? Am I doing this right???
