What this mod do:

If user creates 2 sequent posts in a short time, those are merged. That helps to keep your forum clear and prevent topicks bumping.

Setup:

Just import product and change necessary settings. No any edits required.

If you limit posts edit time, it's recommended to make merge time === edit time.

PS. Should work with 3.7.x too, but tested only with 3.7.4.
 
thanks for this mos..but whenn i post a double post ... the post is not merged in the above post...
Only my write is merged .
the post its below the previous.
please how can i fix this??
 
THANKS BUT DIDIN'T WORK WITH 3.8.1

IT GIVES ME THAT
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6144 bytes) in vb\includes\class_dm_deletionlog.php on line 236

Merges posts on my 3.8.0 forums.

Not sure if it stops double-posting though.

I've had this problem on one of my forums for a while now. Only certain users get the problem- They submit 1 post, but it get's submitted twice making 2 posts the same.

Not sure if this mod is ONLY made to merge 2 posts that are made in a short time, or does it actually stop 2 posts the exact same from being posted too?
 
An update on my above post^^

This mod is good for preventing 'bumping' of posts as it will merge them. Tested successfully on 3.8.0.

However- If someone double-posts the exact same post, it will not remove or prevent the duplicate post. It will simple merge them.

So- Not what I'm looking for, but still- Good for preventing 'bump' posts as I said.
