Doorway pages

Quick question, should i use doorway pages for my site. Someone has suggested to create a doorway page for each category of my site with the manufacturer, models etc and submit each page to the search engines.

Of course with my site getting so big as far as content goes this is i think a biggish job. So would like your opinion if its worth the trouble or not.
Thanks

Ask for explanations if something is unclear. If an SEO creates deceptive or misleading content on your behalf, such as doorway pages or "throwaway" domains, your site could be removed entirely from Google's index. Ultimately, you are responsible for the actions of any companies you hire, so it's best to be sure you know exactly how they intend to "help" you.
After reading the google advise on SEOs it does not say if it allows or disallows doorway pages. So still need a little advise if its worth using doorway pages or will my site be dropped from search engine like google.Aside from what theCheat has mentioned, users generally find 'doorway' pages annoying; it just adds yet another Click to get to the sites content. ;)not only are they annoying, but depending on the host you're using and what you intend to have on these doorway pages, they could easily eat up precious bandwidth.
ah, bandwidth. the mana of the internet...LOL... yes...

I would advise against doorway pages, but if you must use them, make them HTTP redirects using mata reresh, so pressing back still works.
