The owner of that website has offered to transfer his domain name to my registrar account if I'd like to direct traffic to my site.My concern is, I'd like to leech his backlinks and PR to my site. I believe that would pass on the pagerank and backlinks to your new domain. That would also direct all incoming traffic from the old domain to the new domain.Be careful with redirects - if done wrong you will find yourself on page 5000 in the SERPS.As BWM suggested, read up on redirect methods.
