I'm very new to web building and trying to teach myself. So, I am with a company that provides their reps with a "something.something.com" address. What I want is to create a domain like xxxxx.com that redirects to their xxxxxx.xxxxx.com without showing their address for SEO reasons or branding reasons (I think??).
For example:
My current site may be <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.username.company.com">www.username.company.com</a><!-- w -->
But I want it to show <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thebest.com">www.thebest.com</a><!-- w --> in the address bar at all times and to be able to advertise this domain name with search engines (such as google's adwords).
Does that make sense?
I haven't bought a domain name yet, because I need some advice first. All info is greatly appreciated.
