here is a question i am strugling with. we all want to have backlinks from high pr sites, my question is dose the number of backlinks from a specific high pr site effects how you rank?
i mean lest say i have a link in highpr.com , now if i go and some how get another backlink from the highpr.com, does that do any good for my ranking or dosnt matter howmany you have it wont make it better?
now i know each pages have differnt ranking as well, so how would that play into this?

If you got backlinks from a high PR site, it somehow affects your site because it can share their link juices from their sites going to your site (if they are do follow) if not you only get traffic from them but not backlinks. According to my research, by reading the Google webmaster site, too many links from the same site can do as much damage as not enough.
They also warn against buying links from a link farm. You could get a quick blast of traffic and a temporary increase in ranking........but then comes the crash.......down you go...
Check for yourself they explain it pretty well.... thanks guys for the help. getting links from high pr pages really helps in the ranking as google counts back links as a vote to your page

umi.gold I think value is same if you getting one back link or more, and high pr is always helpful for calculating pr. We know your pr depends upon your backlinks quantity and quality. It means if a site have nice backlinks with good quality then it will itself get high pr. Therefore when you link with that high pr site then you will also get a share of benefit which that high pr site is getting. That is why linking with high pr does matter in yours site pr.
